Bio:

I am a Research Scientist at Google DeepMind. I work on problems which involve a combination of generative modeling ([1]), machine learning, probability theory and high-dimensional statistics. Over the last year, I have been working on understanding reinforcement learning algorithms for diffusion/flow models and designing post-training algorithms for Gemini Image Generation (Nano Banana). My recent conceptual and theoretical work focuses on sampling, optimization in the Wasserstein space (mean field optimization) and its applications to generative modeling. I completed my PhD at Lab for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) at MIT advised by Prof. Guy Bresler. Prior to that I was an undergraduate student at IIT Madras specializing in Electrical Engineering.
